Caring profession

Fen Crosbie (Letters, 25 March) says the striking nursery nurses are greedy, uncaring and unprincipled. This is not true. It is unfortunate that children are suffering, but we had to resort to indefinite strike action to show we were serious about getting fair pay, acknowledgment for the job we do, and recognition for the increased number of duties added to our remit over the years.
