I was pleased to read the positive comments in Denni Morrison's review of my BTec National Early Years book, and delighted that she considers it will be an invaluable course textbook (Professional Books, 12 September). As a point of clarification, 'Professional Practice' was deliberately placed as the first chapter within the text to highlight the central status this unit has within the course as a whole. It helps to emphasise how all learning needs to be embedded within a high standard of practical application.
