Brent Council has awarded the charity a four-year contract to manage 14 of its 17 children’s centres from this autumn.
Barnardo’s already runs more than 170 children’s centres across England and Northern Ireland.
The move will see the council, which needs to save around £54 million over the next two years, achieve savings of around £750,000.
The 14 children’s centres which will transfer to Barnardo’s are – Treetops, Wykenham Primary, Wembley, Alperton, Preston Park, The Welcome, Granville Plus, Three Trees, Hope, Harmony, St Raphael's, Church Lane, Mount Stewart and Willow.
The Welcome Children’s Centre also runs a satellite centre at Barham Park.
Fawood, Curzon Crescent and Challenge House Children’s Centres will continue to be managed by Brent Council.
