Nursery group Kiddi Caru has opened a new setting in Surrey.
The acquisition means that the number of places offered by the Kiddi Caru group now tops more than 2,000 childcare places.
The new purpose-built setting just outside Redhill town centre, provides 100-places. The setting employs nine staff and an on-site nursery chef, who prepares home-cooked food daily.
Activities on offer include French, yoga, music and movement and sing and sign, and there is a state-of-the-art sensory room.
The outdoor area, which has been designed for year-round use, includes a large grassy space, an enclosed safety surface area, a vegetable patch, a wild garden and a mud kitchen.
Nursery manager Helen Atkin said, ‘The last few weeks have been quite hectic but it’s brilliant to now be open and welcoming in local families.
‘The response we have had has been amazing; everyone loves the bright and spacious feel of the nursery and the fact that everything here has been designed with children in mind.
‘The outdoor space is as well resourced as all of the playrooms and has been created for all year round use – it even has a mud kitchen.’
The chain, started in 1998, has 18 other settings spread across the whole of the South of England and the Midlands, and one nursery under the Westchester brand.
In the 2014 issue of Nursery World's Nursery Chains the group is listed in the league table as the tenth largest group in the UK and Ireland, with 1,996 places.
