The new partnership offers Sky employees a 10 per cent discount on childcare at all Busy Bees nurseries.

With more than 350 Busy Bees nurseries across the country, this scheme is designed to benefit more than 25,000 Sky employees.

Sky hopes that this benefit will help to incentivise parents to return to work following the rise of remote working during the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath.

Sky has run its Parents at Sky employee network for over 20 years and this forum helped to identify the need for additional childcare support.

Cheryl Graham, service strategy lead for Parents at Sky, said, ‘By making childcare more accessible for our working parents, we believe this will have a positive impact on our employees’ wellbeing.’

Antony Morrison, business sales director at Busy Bees at Work, said, ‘Work-life balance (65 per cent), mental health (46 per cent) and burnout (33 percent) rank amongst the top five employee wellbeing concerns. It’s so important that families, especially parents returning to work, feel supported and have viable childcare options available to them.’

The move follows the news that Boots have also linked up with Busy Bees nurseries to offer its employees the same benefit solution of 10 per cent off their childcare fees, as well as one week of free childcare and no enrolment fees.

Boots also hopes this partnership will support parents’ decisions to return to work.

Ben Horner, HR director at Boots UK, said, ‘We believe that this is a highly valuable offer for our teams of working parents and those returning to work – and offers an additional employee benefit that will make a meaningful difference.’

Busy Bees operates 386 nurseries in the UK and Ireland and is also partnered with a number of companies to provide discounted childcare benefits and bespoke packages, including Chelsea Football Club, Moto, Sage, The Dilly and DHL.
