Alphabet House in Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire welcomed local children's author Lorna Parkin and her Dalmatian, Poppy, the subject of her books, to the setting to celebrate World Book Day on 7 March.
The children, aged between three and five, enjoyed an interactive storytelling session with Lorna and Poppy.
