As we look back on 95 years of Nursery World, and this past year of pandemic, we promise to do our best for ‘the greatest profession’

We are approaching the end of what must be one of the most extraordinary and challenging years any of us can remember.

As you will see from the coverage in this issue, Nursery World has just reached the 95th anniversary of its launch in 1925, in which time there has been economic depression, wars including the Second World War, and technological and societal revolution. Yet, by any standards 2020 has been difficult and disturbing for people right across the world.

Since its earliest days, Nursery World has covered and debated the concerns of its readers, from the needs of children to women’s equality, race discrimination and LGBT rights.
