The trust is a non-profit organisation that works in the education and early years sectors, with a mission to help develop social enterprises through grants and professional support from its community of corporate partners.

The trust says that the Spring Budget, coupled with the Chancellor's childcare reforms, are likely to put even greater pressure on the sector. Hiring and retaining staff is already a big challenge and this problem, along with other concerns in the sector, are not going away any time soon, it adds.

In light of this, the trust is carrying out a national survey.

The survey aims to gauge the current and future training and development requirements in UK nurseries in order to attract and retain talent.
