Sand play accessories

There's more to sand than pits, especially for children who prefer to play quietly on a smaller scale or who need to sit inside in the shade. The latest development at Step by Step is the miniature Sahara Sand Box which follows on from last year's introduction of the full-sized Sahara Sand Box. This scaled down version can rest comfortably on a child's lap and lends itself to several different kinds of play. The box has a shatterproof glass base under which a sheet of paper with the child's designs or words can be placed to provide an extra dimension to activities. The sand inside the box can be used with the miniature sand smoother which comes with the tray or with the additional accessories available separately.
