Primary children in exclusions

More than 1,000 pupils were temporarily excluded from primary schools in Wales in the past year, and 19 pupils who were given a temporary exclusion were aged between three and seven, with one in nursery and 12 in reception class.

David Evans, secretary of the National Union of Teachers Cymru, said,'What we need to be looking at is how the behaviour is impacting on notjust the children involved or the teacher, but the entire class.'
