Nursery group celebrates 100 per cent outstanding

A Manchester nursery chain has been rated outstanding by Ofsted in all four of its settings.

The Mulberry Bush Nursery group has settings in Tottington, Walmerlsey, Walshaw and Whitfield in Bury, Greater Manchester.

All the inspections took place in 2011.

The Walmerlsey nursery, which was opened last July, had only been operating for five months when it received top marks from Ofsted.

Inspectors commented on the ‘highly stimulating and child-centered environments’ provided by the nurseries, which they said ‘provide a safe environment with optimal challenges to enhance physical development.’ They also praised staff for ‘delivering outstanding learning and care for all children.’

Director Jo Kinloch said, ‘We are so proud of our fantastic team and the amazing love and care they provide for the children every day. It is an enormous achievement to have been graded as outstanding in each of our settings. Ofsted have said that we should be very proud because they give these grades infrequently, so it's amazing to have been awarded them in all of our settings.’
