Snow business
Nursery children across the country have been making the most of therecord snowfalls.
Busy Bees Nursery in Walsgrave, Coventry, made a snowman and learnedabout the differences between snow and ice. Children at Amberley Nurseryin Bexhill, Sussex, decorated their four snowmen with poster paints.Little Acorns Day Nursery in Gomersal, West Yorkshire, let rip withsnowball fights and also learned about keeping warm with extra clothingand warm foods in the winter. Children at Stepping Stones Day Nursery inLingley Mere, Warrington, went out to play while the snow wasfalling.
O for Outstanding
Parents, staff and children at Busy Builders Playgroup in Gillingham,Kent, have been busy celebrating their recent Ofsted inspection, havinggained Outstanding in all areas. To round off their achievements theplaygroup made 'O for Ofsted' biscuits and pizzas.

The charity Action Medical Research is once again inviting teams fromchildcare settings and other individuals to take part in its Three PeaksChallenge on 10 and 11 July to help raise money for the Touching TinyLives campaign. Fundraisers will climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike andSnowdon, the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales.
