Montessori school

(Photograph) - A former synagogue in Notting Hill, west London, re-opened earlier this month as a Montessori school after lying empty and unused for two years. Ann Arnold, principal of Dr Rolfe's Montessori School, said, 'We were looking for alternative accommodation and as soon as we saw the synagogue we knew it was right for us - light and airy, with plenty of room to create special areas for the children to play, read, rest and paint.'Photo by Em Fitzgerald
