I am writing in response to Sharon Duthie's query about how to store back copies of Nursery World in an easily accessible way (Letters, 5 May). I am currently compiling storage of them in this way: Step 1: Read and store magazines in the setting for all staff to access. Remove posters for use.
I am writing in response to Sharon Duthie's query about how to store back copies of Nursery World in an easily accessible way (Letters, 5 May). I am currently compiling storage of them in this way: Step 1: Read and store magazines in the setting for all staff to access.
Remove posters for use.
Step 2: After six to 12 months, review the magazines. Take out and discard news and job advertisements that are now out of date. Remove all useful articles to be kept.
Step 3: File these articles under suitable headings - Birth to Three, Foundation Stage, record keeping, the outdoor environment and so on.
These can then be easily stored and indexed so they can be readily accessed by all staff. Future articles from the magazine will be added. It does take a bit of time to set up, but it should provide an excellent resource.
