Nursery World - Fond farewell

Nursery World readers may be interested to know that the correspondence magazine Family Matters has ceased publication. The magazine started via Nursery World magazine in 1949, under our devoted and tireless editor, Odette Sheppy. Following her death in 1991, Patricia Walton became Family Matters' equally dedicated editor. Correspondence magazines were at one time quite common and I believe ours was one of the oldest, though some existed pre-war.

Family Matters was a precious bond, a sisterhood, full of love and support, and is very much missed. I would be delighted to tell more to anyone interested who wants to write to me.
