Crathes Castle, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, played host to a mini Highland Games at which children aged three to 12 took part in traditional and not-so-traditional challenges, such as a tug of war, hurling a haggis and welly-throwing, as well as the highlight of any Highland gathering, tossing the caber. The event, organised by Banchory's Round Table, was popular with children introduced to the sports. Photo Paul Reid
