Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan was the perfect place for a visit from Amy, a prize-winning pedigree Holstein, to pupils at Llanghan primary school. Amy's owner, John Lougher, Glamorgan co-chair of the National Farmers' Union, is touring schools to educate children about milk. He said, 'Milk is a natural product and many children are not aware of its benefits - or where it comes from. If we encourage them at an early age they are likely to enjoy drinking milk throughout their lives and avoid developing conditions such as osteoporosis.'
