Better builders

As the days grow colder, less active or outdoor types may feel reluctant to brave the elements, even though a dose of fresh air is probably just what they need. But you can encourage children to spend longer in the fresh air by setting up outdoor games that will grab their attention. Super Tower is one of the games in the Super Tramp range. It's an enlarged version of the classic indoor game sometimes known as Jenga. Before playing you build up the wooden pieces into a tower, then carefully take turns to remove one wooden piece at a time before placing it on the top of the tower. A player loses if he or she topples the tower. Super Tower can also be played in teams. It costs 99, has 56 pieces and comes in a rope-handled oak and lime wood box (570 x 330 x 356mm), strong enough to be used as a step by younger children. Giant chess sets and Connect 4-style games are also available. Telephone 0800 1971897
