(Photograph) - Sure Start minister Catherine Ashton presented the Basic Skills Quality Mark to children from Bilston Nursery School in the West Midlands during a visit she made to the Early Excellence Centre on 12 February. The award recognised the quality of the setting's teaching and learning, and the development of early language, literacy and numeracy skills through structured play.
