An extra bank holiday in October is needed so children and their parents can spend more time together, says the charity 4Children. Chief executive Anne Longfield said, 'Today's families are as loving and giving as they always have been, but the pressures and speed of life today means that many parents feel they cannot give lots of quality communication time to their children. A new Children's Day bank holiday would give them an extra day to spend together, have fun and listen to each other.'
