By establishing healthy eating habits from an early age, you are not only supporting your child's physical growth and development but also laying the foundations for a lifetime of positive relationships with food.

Encouraging your young child to eat a nutritious diet can sometimes feel like a challenge, but by creating a supportive and pressure-free food environment, you can foster an enjoyment of a wide range of nutritious foods.

Children are great imitators, so encouraging positive eating begins with you. If your child observes you enjoying a variety of healthy food, they are more likely to do the same.

Eating together as a family whenever it is possible is also a good starting point, because it helps your child to associate mealtimes with warmth and connection (it is also great for supporting their speech and language development as you chat during the meal).
