Playful memories

The Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) play department is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion the department is hosting a celebration in October and would like to invite any former play specialists to attend and share their memories of working at GOSH. The department had a stately beginning back in 1974, when the Queen visited the hospital to officially open the play area and met patients and staff.

The department had a stately beginning back in 1974, when the Queen visited the hospital to officially open the play area and met patients and staff.

Play services at GOSH have greatly expanded since then. There are now more than 30 play specialists serving the 90,000 patients who pass through GOSH's doors every year.

If you are interested in attending or simply sharing a memory or two, please contact Rachel Turner in the GOSH Activity Centre at younir@gosh.nhs.uk or call 0207 405 9200.
