Branching Out Acorn Garage (£56.99)
Branching Out Small Play Table (£44.99)
Treasure Island Toys
Budding mechanics will enjoy the Branching Out Acorn Garage with its three tiers, providing plenty of space for cars to be fixed, filled with petrol from the pumps and cleaned in the car wash.
The garage, along with some of the other environments from this John Crane range, fits the Branching Out Small Play Table (W49cm x D34cm x H83cm). Finished in white and with a green tray, it provides the perfect base for small-world play.
Treasure Island Toys, which provides furniture and a full range of early years resources, is currently offering nurseries a 10 per cent discount on all their purchases when they set up a trade account with the company.
Soft Penguin Bowling (£17.95)
Step by Step
Line up this appealing set of soft penguins and watch even the youngest children in your setting enjoying a fun game of bowling. The set comes with a ball and each penguin is numbered, so older children can keep count of their score. Ideal to encourage personal, social and emotional development.
Tidy Books Box (£70.00)
Young children will find it easy to see and access their favourite books and magazines with the Tidy Books Box. Made of solid wood from sustainable sources, the box holds up to 40 books and magazines of varying sizes and the attractive play clock on the end is removable.
Easi-Torch is a set of six ultra-bright LED torches that provide a constant brightness for up to three hours, and, once the batteries are low, simply place them in the charging hub to power up. The torches come with battery life indicator, large, easy-to-use on/off switches and recharge in three to four hours.
Combi (£9.99) Twist and Sort (£7.99)
Bug house (£65.99)
Inuit-style house (£54.99)
Reflections on Learning
Two shape-sorting additions to the Reflections on Learning range are ideal for developing young children's fine motor skills. With the Combi, children can slide and spin the components to sort and match pictures, shapes and patterns. Twist And Sort features washers that can be fitted on the pegs via either a screw-thread or combination twist and drop action and is also excellent for shape and colour recognition, sequencing and problem-solving.
Reflections on Learning has also added two novel small-world environments to its range. The charming bug house includes a ladder, well, pulley system, two sets of leaf bunk beds, wheelbarrow, dining table and chairs and two trees to camouflage the bug family.
Children will be able to explore life in a colder climate with the Inuit Style House, complete with Inuit family, Arctic animals and a sledge and a team of huskies.
Footprints (from £5 per theme for a single user licence)
Promethean's Footprints Early Years collection comprises interactive whiteboard flipcharts on 30 different themes, covering topics from healthy eating, seasons, body anatomy and telling the time to transportation. As well as supporting primary language acquisition, Footprints is also designed to help teach English as an additional language. Each resource incorporates animation, games, sound, video and images.
