GOING DUTCH

Wivenhoe Park Day Nursery’s Forest School team recently invested in a Dutch oven so children can eat their meals outside all year round.
A Dutch Oven is a cast iron pot which can retain heat while cooking, like a slow cooker. It hangs from a tripod over a fire. Children help to prepare the different ingredients, including chopping up vegetables and pouring in the stock.
