‘Dinner Time Dave’, the chef at Stone Eden Nursery School in Carlisle, has been helping children make apple crumble.
Children discussed where apples come from and which foods are harvested at this time of the year by farmers who grow the crops. This led to an explanation of how flour is produced and used in the nursery kitchen.
