Invitation to Tender for the Provision of Nursery Day Care; Breakfast Club and After School Care

We are an innovative academy school which opened in September 2012. We have classes from Reception to Year 3 with our Year 4 class starting in September 2015. We expect to have 115 pupils in September 2015 and up to 210 children by September 2017.

Our School Day and Holiday times

Our school day starts at 8.30am until 2.30pm (school finishes at 2pm on Fridays), we then offer a wide range of optional after school clubs from 2.30pm to 3.30pm (Monday to Thursday only).

We offer a more balanced school year with regular two weekly half terms and a four week summer break.

Tender Requirements – Pre Qualification Questionnaire

We are seeking completed Pre Qualification Questionnaires from interested parties by Tuesday 26th May 2015 and plan to appoint the successful provider by 31st July 2015.

The successful bid will need to have provision in place to commence on Tuesday 1st September 2015.

Interested parties can request Pre Qualification Questionnaires from the school office or info@villageprimary.org or by telephone - 01670 735 177.

Lease and Legal Documentation

We are looking to award a 9 year 10 month lease to the successful Childcare Provider and have a draft lease in place for appropriate negotiation.

From September 2015 there is a dedicated area of the school available for this provision of 175 square metres with a connecting room in between to provide child care for all children. There is also access to an additional teaching base on a non-exclusive basis (for out of school provision) which has a total area of 87.5 square metres. This is a total area of 262.5 square metres.

Outdoor provision is available and will be negotiated as part of the tender process.

From September 2016 the Governing Body is seeking to provide space for a private Childcare Provider to finance, design, build and operate a childcare provision service. The Provider will be expected to serve the local community, offering places to children living within the school’s catchment area.
