A new guide to the Children and Social Work Act, which became law last year, is now available.

The guide comprises four articles looking at:

  • New local safeguarding arrangements, under which local children’s safeguarding board’s will no longer be statutory
  • Relationships and sex education, which sees 4-year-olds receiving relationships education in schools
  • Looked after children
  • Changes to the social work profession

It is written by former social worker and safeguarding consultant Ann Marie Christian.
