Two highly-acclaimed US academics will lead the Friday Masterclass at the Nursery World Show 2017.

'Closing the gap three to five: self-regulation' will feature Professor C Cybele Raver and Professor Clancy Blair from New York University. They will be looking at children's brains and the path to self-regulation.

Professor Raver will also present on self-regulation and the home environment, drawing on lessons from the Chicago School Readiness Project, aimed at low-income families.

They will be joined by Dr Julian Grenier, who will explore self-regulation and its implications for best practice in the EYFS, building a picture of the reflective and thoughtful practitioner.

Professor Blair was the keynote speaker at Nursery World's conference on self-regulation in June 2016 and was extremely well received. We are delighted to be able to offer another chance to see him present.

  • The Masterclass will run from 9.30-12.30 on Friday 3 February at the Business Design Centre. More information and tickets at www.nurseryworldshow.com/london
