New guides on multi-agency working and the EYPP

Friday, June 3, 2016

Comprehensive guides on multi-agency working, the Early Years Pupil Premium, and the new Common Inspection Framework are now available.

One eight-part series covers key themes for EYPP spend identified by experts, such as working with parents, supporting transitions, and communication and language. It also features good practice from leading settings in specific areas such as ICT, while the final article is on raising quality overall to ensure that any interventions have real impact.

Multi-agency working tackles big ideas about information sharing, trust, and consent, and involves interviews with Pen Green’s Margy Whalley, The Thomas Coram Centre’s Bernadette Duffy, expert Jean Gross on information sharing, local authority staff and leading practitioners on key areas of confusion, current laws, best practice and future changes to policy. The last instalment on this series, on multi-agency training, will appear on June 27th.

We also commissioned Sarah Mackenzie, of Childbase to write about staff retention and The Pre-School Learning Alliance’s Michael Freeston on Ofsted’s new Common Inspection framework (this can also be accessed from our inspections page).

These guides for managers are collated from our feature series run in the Work Matters section of the magazine.
