Name: Samantha EdworthyPosition: Nursery practitioner at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Exeter.

Why did you decide to do a skydive?

I have always wanted to do a skydive for charity but have been waiting for a charity that meant something to me. I have looked after a girl called Sophie (who has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy) at the nursery and so felt it would be perfect to raise money for her charity. My family and friends paid for me to the do the skydive as a birthday present so all the money that was donated went to charity.

How did you feel while you were doing it?

The jump was an amazing experience and one I would do again. The adrenaline was brilliant and the best part was falling out of the plane at 15,000 feet above the ground. The only bad part was that you could not smile for long or your teeth would turn to icicles.

How much money have you raised so far?

In total, I have raised £818 for Sophie. She and her family are raising money for an operation, which will give her the ability to walk independently.
