Free with this issue of Nursery World is Part 6 of our poster series on 'People who help us', which looks at the working world of the air and sea rescue services
Exploring the theme of 'People who help us' is a great way to give young children an insight into the world of work and their wider community, as well as building their confidence in engaging with adults.
In Part 6 of the series, you'll find lots of ideas for introducing children to the work of the rescue teams that help people lost or injured at sea or on the mountains. Other jobs featured in the series are:
- doctors and nurses
- the police
- ‘the street’ – bus and taxi drivers, binmen, lollipop people, etc
- vets, and
- fire fighters
