Comic Relief special

Friday, March 22, 2013

Nurseries in their hundreds did 'something funny for money' in aid of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day on 15 March.

Children from Busy Bees Bromborough in Merseyside wore fancy dress for a day, while Little Acorns in Mirfield, West Yorkshire (below) organised a dress up and mad hair day.

Across Happy Days Nurseries' settings (below), staff, parents and children made cakes, dressed in red or as dinosaurs and donned red noses. The 16 nurseries in the group raised more than £1,000.

The Commons Pre-School in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire held a dinosaur party and cake sale.

Children at Rendlesham Day Nursery in Woodbridge, East Suffolk, dressed as what they would like to be when they grow up. The setting also held a number of sponsored events to raise more than £800 for the charity.

At Kiddi Caru's Caldecotte nursery in Buckinghamshire the pre-school children used Comic Relief as a basis for a learning project, looking at different cultures and photographs of how different people live.
