The deal brings the total number of nurseries operated by Just Childcare to 48, offering 3,418 places.
It sees the group move from the ninth to the seventh biggest nursery chain in the UK, according to this year’s Nursery Chains.
Just Childcare has experienced rapid growth over the past three years, growing from seven nurseries in 2015 to 48 now.
David Johnson, chief executive of Just Childcare, said, ‘The eight nurseries we have acquired all have excellent reputations and share our belief that the children in our care should be at the centre of everything we do.
‘We are thrilled to have them join the group and we look forward to working alongside their existing teams to develop the success of their settings further.’
Jenna Caldwell, head of childcare at Redwoods Dowling Kerr, who handled the sale, said, ‘It was a pleasure to work alongside the owners with the sale of their impressive nursery group. This was a highly confidential sale, so the vendors chose to use our Corporate Sales Process to ensure that they received the very best price and that confidentiality was retained throughout. This was a complex transaction, but all parties worked hard together to reach a successful conclusion.’
