Stewart and Jeannie Pickering, who set up kidsunlimited, have returned to the early years sector after ten years to partner with the McGoff Group to open a new nursery in Altrincham.
Back to the Garden Childcare will offer 120 registered places and provide a child-led, active learning environment with an emphasis on outdoor play.
The nursery’s outdoor space features sand and water play areas, play equipment, a herb and planting patch, and a tepee, which will be used for storytelling, circle time and mindfulness, meditation and yoga sessions.
Mr Pickering said, ‘After many months of development, planning and build, we are delighted that our fabulous new setting is ready to welcome its first intake and I could not be more proud of Jeannie and the staff team.’
The nursery welcomed its first five children on 13 August.
