Nursery World North returns to Liverpool in May for two days of CPD-certified seminars, half-day masterclasses, and a wide-ranging exhibition featuring early years suppliers, organisations and charities.
The show’s seminar and masterclass programme will offer attendees the chance to hear from renowned early years experts, including Jan White, Di Chilvers, Anne O'Connor, Judith Twani, Gary Wilson, Alice Sharp and many more.
On Friday 11 May, delegates can attend a half-day masterclass run by experts from the Story Starters project at the University of Liverpool and the ESRC LuCiD Centre on communication and language.
The session will examine the growing understanding of language development in both monolingual and bilingual children and provide practical guidance on supporting a child’s early language development.
On Saturday 12 May, outdoor play specialist Jan White will run a masterclass on the growing potential of learning through play outdoors, from supporting neurological development to promoting ecological identity. The session will also provide delegates with an overview of Ms White’s 12-point framework for unlocking learning outdoors, as well as its format and purpose.
Meanwhile, a range of seminars will cover a number of other topics including best practice in the baby room, family engagement, challenging behaviour, school readiness, literacy and communication and language.
