Many of Britain's most popular children's authors have become their childhood story heroes for a new photographic exhibition.
The 26 Characters exhibition, taking place from 5 April - 2 November at the Story Museum in Oxford, features former Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson and her husband Malcolm as the Owl and the Pussycat and Storytelling Laureate Katrice Horsley as Mary Poppins, as well as Children's Laureate Malorie Blackman, Shirley Hughes, Michael Rosen, Jamila Gavin and many others in photographs by Cambridge Jones.
Several of the writers talk about what stories mean to them in a season of events.
