Nursery is 'more beneficial' to children from poorer backgrounds

Researchers from Lancaster University Management School found that children from disadvantaged homes who went to nursery improved their Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 scores on average by 10-11 per cent more than normal. They also gained half a GCSE more.
