Coram Children's Legal Centre has launched a new telephone line offering free legal advice for practitioners on child protection and safeguarding issues.
It is funded by the Department for Education’s Improving Outcomes for Children, Young People and Families’ Fund, and forms part of the organisation’s new Child Protection Project (CPP), which also includes a new website for practitioners and the delivery of bespoke training.
The website, planned for 2012, will include information on relevant legislation and guidance, legal and policy updates, analysis of current issues in child protection and safeguarding and summaries of relevant reports and key legal judgments.
The service has been created to address the lack of training and information currently available to frontline practitioners.
