National year of reading officially launched

The national year of reading was officially launched by prime minister Gordon Brown and children's minister Ed Balls at 10 Downing Street last week.
Themed events and activities will be running from April, when the theme'Read all about it!' will establish links with newspapers and magazines.Other themes include 'Reading escapes' in June and 'Write the future' inDecember. To get involved in reading events, visitwww.yearofreading.org.uk.
