Children's theatre company Goblin is bringing a new take on the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to Chelsea Theatre, London this Christmas.

The Ballad of Rudy tells the story of a reindeer with a talent for music that sets him apart from the rest of the herd. The original live score features funk, swing, blues and scat, performed by a magical jazz penguin, polar bears, puffins and an Arctic fox.

Producer Matt Borgatti said, 'The spirit of jazz is all about improvisation, creativity and making things up as you go along and we've found this works really well with a young audience full of imagination.'

A brand new track will be improvised live at every show with the help of audience participation and made available for free download after each performance.

Performances are from 4 December to 23 December 2013 at 10.30am and 1.30pm except Mondays. Tickets are available at www.chelseatheatre.org.uk.
