Playdays Nursery in Blackrod, Bolton, took children from its forest school to the nearby Tree Barn to choose the nursery's Christmas tree from the thousands being grown there.

The children also made their own Christmas wishlists, which they took along and put in the big log burner to be sent to Father Christmas.

The Tree Barn supports Derian House Children's Hospice, donating some of the proceeds made from Christmas tree sales.

Natalie Hope, early years teacher, said, 'The children had a great time and the Christmas tree is now sparkling with lights at the front of our nursery.'
