Sure Start Grant for Gloucestershire

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Gloucestershire County Council has received 7.3m from Sure Start to improve its early years settings.

The Sure Start and Early Years Childcare Grant will benefit 44 settings including nurseries, pre-schools, out-of-school clubs and childminders, over the next 12 months. Cllr Stephen McMillan, cabinet member for young people, said, 'I am pleased we are able to invest to make the start of our children's education better. These improvements will hopefully enable staff to make a real difference to the young people in these communities.'
