A nursery group set up 25 years ago which is now the largest in the UK is searching for former members of staff and children who attended its first nursery as part of silver jubilee celebrations this year.

Busy Bees' first nursery, Rocklands, in Lichfield, Staffordshire, wasset up in 1983 by parents unable to find the kind of childcare theywanted locally.

Founder Marg Randles, who is still a director, said, 'We've got suchfond memories of our first nursery and all the children and staff.Opening our first nursery was such an exciting time and we often sitreminiscing about it.

'It would be lovely to meet up with the children again and find out whattheir lives are like now. We're even thinking about setting up a groupon a networking site like Facebook, where people can post anyphotographs or comments.'

The first Busy Bees nursery opened its doors to just eight children agedunder five. But less than eight months later, it had reached itscapacity of 50 children. Busy Bees now has 135 day nurseries across theUK and is still operated by four of its original founders.

People who attended Busy Bees Rocklands nursery and former staff who areinterested in the jubilee can contact Lisa Brearley by sending an e-mailto 25years@busybees.com.
