A home from Home Office at city nursery

Home Office staff will be entitled to priority booking at the 70-place nursery and a 10 per cent reduction in fees. Remaining places will be offered to the general public.

The nursery, which is due to open in March, will be Just Learning's first setting in central London, and one of only a few purpose-built nurseries in the capital's centre.

Slava Dedic, London area manager for Just Learning, said, 'It is exciting to be opening a nursery in the very heart of Westminster. The Just Learning architects have designed a fantastic building. The premises are very big and the rooms are spacious and inviting.'

The 5,000-square-foot nursery also has a large garden with safe, soft-pour surfaces and a range of play equipment.

Ms Dedic said, 'Just Learning already operates a number of nurseries for NHS hospital employees, but this is our first link with a Government department.

'There has been so much interest in the development. We have received many calls from parents working at the Home Office and other Government departments, as well as from the public. We are in the process of recruiting staff and have had a lot of applicants.'

The Home Office nursery will take the total number of settings run by Just Learning to 69 and the number of places to 6,072.
