Like so many others, I joined this sector to make a difference. Helping my teams deliver the best outcomes for children has always been my focus.

I started my own journey in early years back in 2002. I eventually joined Bright Horizons in 2017 as a deputy nursery manager and it was a big game changer for me. For the first time in my career, my line manager really took the time to better understand me. I knew I was now in a place where I could grow, explore my interests and develop my confidence as a leader.

Through support and encouragement, I began to pursue opportunities that went beyond my day-to-day role. In 2022, I helped launch our DEIB (Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Belonging) group and became its Chair. This led to a part-time DEIB Lead role alongside leading new starter inductions. As of June 2025, I am proud to be the full-time DEIB Lead for Bright Horizons UK.
