Ofsted has issued new guidance for those wanting to register on the voluntary part of the Childcare Register. Those who care for children aged between eight and 17 years; those who look after children aged from birth to eight in provision that is exempt from compulsory registration, such as sports coaching in the home of one of the children; and those who care for children in the home of one of the children, are eligible for the voluntry register.
