Moksliukas Nursery in Newham has won £1,000 for its mural design.

The 47-place nursery, which is part of the Lithuanian Christian Church, was one of 20 organisations shortlisted by the Dulux Let's Colour competition for transforming grey space into colourful artwork.

Facebook users were invited to vote online for their favourite design. Moksliukas Nursery won the competition with a total of 3,879 votes.

The mural design, which was created by Lithuanian artist Martynas Juchnevicius, and was painted in a week with the help of several volunteers and a £400 donation from Dulux for the paint, features Noah's Ark sailing down the River Thames past several London landmarks.

The nursery plans to put the money towards installing a new entry phone system.
