New look for NDNA

Thursday, January 18, 2018

The National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) has modernised its logo and branding to celebrate 20 years since achieving charitable status.

The new-look logo, which is brightly coloured and includes a new strapline, ‘brighter thinking for early years’, will feature on the NDNA’S website and social media accounts from today (18 January).

The full name of the charity will now also feature in the logo to clarify that NDNA is championing the needs of nurseries. ndna-full-logo

The current logo and branding will be gradually phased out over the coming months.

In the financial year 2018/2019 it will be 20 years since NDNA achieved its charitable status. The Association started as a small organisation, brought together by a group of like-minded people who wanted to see the best quality care for children and provide a collective voice for nurseries.

Along with the new logo and branding, the NDNA is updating its website in the summer, with the aim of improving the usability for members.

Purnima Tanuku, chief executive of the NDNA, said, ‘We are very excited to launch our new logo and branding. This is a great opportunity to modernise our branding, after researching what our members want from NDNA.

‘We are the strongest voice for nurseries and early years practitioners, representing more than one in three day nurseries across England, Scotland and Wales, with a growing international presence.

‘Over this time, we have played a central role in championing the needs of day nurseries, raising the profile of early years among policy makers and helping to achieve major policy changes. Our nursery training, both online and face-to-face, has grown rapidly and our new Quality Counts scheme comes on stream next month.

‘After consulting with our members and our trustees, we are now taking an important step forward to enhance our position and help prepare us and the sector for the next decade.

‘NDNA is dedicated to providing the best quality service for our members and we feel that enhancing our brand will ensure that NDNA is saying exactly who we are.

‘We would like to thank all our members for their fantastic support over the years. Our strong growth in membership really reflects this support.’
