Boys Will Be Brilliant!

Monday, July 11, 2016

by Linda Tallent and Gary Wilson (Featherstone, £18.99)

As the authors point out, boys’ underachievement is the status quo right across the developed world. Only in Scandinavia is this not the case. This book provides practical guidance to improve practice with this in mind. Particular weak spots, such as language and listening, attitudes, and giving an added ‘boy appeal’ to an early learning environment, are covered with lists of items suggested, while the authors are keen to point out that the approaches featured will also make the environment more interesting for girls.
