Primary assessment in England

The Government is asking for views on issues related to assessment in primary schools, including:

  • Changes to the early years foundation stage profile
  • Bringing forward the starting point for school progress measures during primary education
  • Reviewing the statutory status of KS1 assessment
  • Reducing the burdens of teacher assessment

This consultation closes at 5pm on 22 June 2017.

The Government is also consulting on the Rochford Review recommendations for the assessment of key stage 1 and 2 pupils working below the standard of national curriculum tests. This consultation can be found here
