Primary assessment in England

The Government is asking for views on issues related to assessment in primary schools, including:
- Changes to the early years foundation stage profile
- Bringing forward the starting point for school progress measures during primary education
- Reviewing the statutory status of KS1 assessment
- Reducing the burdens of teacher assessment

The Government is also consulting on the Rochford Review recommendations for the assessment of key stage 1 and 2 pupils working below the standard of national curriculum tests. This consultation can be found here
